November 2020

Since the pandemic, as unemployment surges, and a large part of the work force is working and teaching kids from home, people are finding themselves stuck in the confines of home in an unprecedented way.

Those who are living by the advised pandemic precautions are staying at home a lot.

This can produce a tremendous amount of stress since it is not mentally healthy to do so and it is an extremely hard life adjustment.  People are looking for activities and outdoor recreation that are safe.

Music and learning to play music is a known and proven good mental health and happiness stimulator.  Since the onset of the pandemic, virtual music lesson has become a thing.

If you are looking for stress relief, learning an instrument or going back to playing, is an incredible way to achieve this and it is not limited to age.  Learning and playing music is an open door to joy for any age.  It engages the brain and releases endorphins – you know, the thing that the brain does to make you feel naturally high (“Really high,” Bob Marley).

So whether you just need to revisit playing or you’ve never played, turning to  playing music is a real stress reliever during these times of Covid 19 and beyond.

If you or a child you know needs help in purchasing an instrument.  Tell us about it.
