Covid-19 and music, the great healer. Einstein stated that if he were not a physicist he would be a musician. That is as wise a statement as the man himself because music is the most simple yet complex paradigm of human and social life.
It is what gives voice to the voiceless through someone else’s voice or instrument. It brings unseen measurements, demonstrated by melodies, harmonies and words, into cognitive movement of sound. Music can quickly and instantly heal, direct and move the human spirit in as short a time span as minutes. No other art form is quiet this powerful. In these times, as Covid 19 change our lives in a so many ways, we need music more than we ever have. In these times, everyone is turning to music as a crutch to carry them through each day, each moment.
