July 2020
2020 will be one of the hardest years, historically marked, for the world. Some people are loosing family members and even multiple family members. It is a hard and sad time to witness.
People are sick and dying at alarming rates, people are loosing income, businesses are closing and all systems are overwhelmed but those who were already marginalized are experiencing all of this at amplified levels.
People who were already living in substandard conditions are facing circumstances that creates a double sided sword type of situation. Those who were facing food shortages are facing it with the vengeance of Covid-19 and increased risk if they were already living in tight quarters, since they cannot socially distance.
Music cannot cure any of this but it is a certainty that with this level of global stress, it is one of few ways to escape and get some relief from the weight of all this; allowing some sense of balance, strength and sanity.
With no known end in sight, the assurance that everything must end at some time, some how, along with the comfort of music, and any other form of safe relieve and release, is the only available solace to hold on to in these times.
